About

Wisdom Ebai, who also goes by Bamidele, a Yoruba name meaning “come home with me” is a writer who works in the state of play and imagination. His stories are shaped as much by childhood cartoons, daydreams, and nostalgia as by lived experience, exploring worlds both real and invented. He is fascinated by language and how it can bend, stretch, and carry both humor and meaning, bringing that curiosity into every story he tells.

Bamidele loves to frolic, linger in softness and bliss, and tap into moments of nostalgia that connect memory with imagination. A perfect cup of tea is often his best friend while thinking, writing, or observing how people navigate culture, habit, and everyday contradictions. His work sits at the intersection of reflection and playfulness, where silliness and tenderness coexist with depth. When he is not busy writing reflections with silly little titles, you can catch him writing essays for school with even more silly titles.

Based in East Africa, Bamidele continues to explore imagination, nostalgia, and storytelling, noticing the subtle ways culture lives in ordinary experiences, always asking how memory, language, and joy can open new ways of seeing the world.
